Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how WorkCA uses cookies and similar technologies on work-ca.ca. We keep our use of cookies to a minimum and do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as staying signed in) over time. Similar technologies include local storage used by your browser.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

  • Authentication/session cookies that keep you securely signed in and protect your account. These are set by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are required for the Service to function.

Preferences

  • A language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers whether you prefer English or French so we can show the site in your language.

Security

  • Cookies and request data used to protect against fraud and abuse, such as rate-limiting sign-in attempts.

3. What we don’t use

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party marketing trackers, or cookies that build a profile of you across other websites. Any usage analytics we perform are aggregate and privacy-respecting.

4. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to block cookies. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use core features of WorkCA.

5. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as our practices evolve. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
